Uraniumhead observes: State legislators (and the Coal and Energy Commission) preparing to conduct marketing research for the uranium industry and call it a "study". The General Assembly is acting as a mouthpiece for the uranium industry. Deepening distrust of elected officials by Virginia's citizens
Uraniumhead believes that Virginians deserve to raise their families without fear of uranium pits, tainted water, tailings piles or tailings ponds forcing them to move from their homes in order to protect their loved ones. Uraniumhead knows that if uranium mining in milling is permitted in Virginia our state will become the pariah of the East Coast. Virginia boasts an extensive list of past presidents and patriots . They must be seething in their graves at the prospect of Virginia citizens' rights being trampled by a single industry which, at present, appears to be aided and abetted by many elected officials.

	Uraniumhead honors our service men, women, veterans and their families. They deserve to come home to a safe and healthy environment after valiantly defending and serving OUR country and OUR constitution. In fact, all of Virginia's citizens are entitled to the same.
Virginia's official state flag depicts the goddess Virtue (symbolizing Virginia) holding a sword and a spear towering over the defeated a tyrant (symbolizing Britain) who is lying on the ground holding a chain and a whip. The words, "SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS" (Latin for "thus always to tyrants") are emblazoned on the flag. Perhaps Virtue was of Furies descent.
